Dr. Samatha Kadiyala is a board-certified Urogynecologist and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeon. Although the practice was built with a focus on urogynecology, she has taken care of all minimally invasive gynecological surgical needs in the community. Over the past 10 years this practice was built to provide care for patient referrals from local OBGYNs, primary care physicians, and other referring specialists. She also helped the local hospital secure the first designation for a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in 2014.
“Many women suffer for months, and even years, either too embarrassed to discuss their concerns or completely unaware that there are solutions.”
Urogynecology is a specialty that focuses on evaluating and treating issues like urinary leakage (Stress incontinence or Overactive Bladder) and prolapse (more generally understood as a uterine or bladder drop). Specifically, prolapse is the sagging of the vaginal walls that could drag the bladder or rectum through the vagina causing symptoms of a bulge or fullness or difficulty in emptying your bladder or bowels.
“Treatment options for improving health and quality of life for women suffering from childbirth injury and age-related issues such as prolapse, incontinence, pain, or sexual dysfunction have evolved significantly in the past decades.”
Dr. Kadiyala offers her patients non-surgical and surgical options including minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal techniques for gynecologic and pelvic reconstructive surgery for treatment of incontinence and prolapse. Treatment of abnormal bleeding and fibroids, pelvic pain and endometriosis, and female sexual dysfunction are other areas of expertise due to her Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
“New treatments, techniques, procedures, and surgeries are now available that can dramatically improve, enhance, heal, and even reconstruct the tissues of the pelvic region leading to a significant increase in comfort and quality of life.”
Dr. Kadiyala is the President of Brazosport Women’s Health. BWH is designed to be a place where women can feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Each individual patient is evaluated and treated uniquely based on their choices that fit with their lifestyle and those that serve to resolve the issues that bother them the most. Dr. Kadiyala’s patients know her as a doctor and surgeon who listens carefully and takes the time needed to ensure that each patient is well educated in their condition and their options for treatment.
Dr. Kadiyala founded BWH in 2010 in Lake Jackson with a vision to provide access to a trusted expert locally without the need to travel great distances to receive state-of-the-art, discreet women’s healthcare. She brought together a team of experienced medical professionals and office staff that work closely to coordinate all aspects of care, treatment, and recovery.
Dr. Kadiyala lives in Lake Jackson with her husband Krishna and daughter Aryahi. Her hobbies include hiking, studying Indian and Middle Eastern History and Culture, and playing tennis.
Dr. Kadiyala has traveled to Mexico, India, and Kenya for mission work and is passionate about promoting women’s healthcare through education of local Health professionals in cervical cancer screening and treatment and in vaginal reconstructive surgery.
